The
Southend Jazz Co-op is a group of musicians who get together to play jazz.
The sessions are run by various tutors focusing on developing improvisation.
There is a wide range of ages and ability but the atmosphere is friendly
and supportive. The common factor is a love of jazz and a willingness to
learn and to make mistakes along the way.
There are regular "masterclasses" run by top jazz musicians (see
programme) and concerts throughout the year.
